Music Giving Hope: Honoring Tito Jackson’s Legacy of Giving Back

In 2023, Tito Jackson became a proud resident of Claremore, where he purchased a ranch and soon fell in love with the town’s charm, its people, and the peaceful way of life that gave him rest and a sense of belonging. He spent hours fishing at his private pond and connecting with neighbors. This special connection with Claremore became the foundation for his vision to give back through music, food, and togetherness.
In June 2024, Tito joined Claremore’s Juneteenth celebration at the Claremore Museum of History, where his warmth and authenticity left a lasting impression on the community. Later that year, on September 5, 2024, he hosted a social mixer at his ranch to announce the creation of the Tunes & Spoons Music Festival and Chili Cook-Off. Developed with Brad White and Rob Miller (founders of Rocklahoma) and supported by local leadership, the event grew from Tito’s heartfelt desire to support Claremore after the devastating tornado in May 2024.

The Birth of Tunes & Spoons

On March 18, 2025, Tito’s vision officially took shape at a press conference in Claremore City Hall, joined by Mayor Debbie Long, his son TJ Jackson (of 3T), and partners Howard Pollack, Terry Harvey, and Brad White. Together they announced the Tunes & Spoons Chili Fest, a multi-day celebration of music, food, and community spirit.
The inaugural Tunes & Spoons Chili Cook-Off and Music Festival was held August 22–24, 2025, at the Claremore Expo Center, featuring award-winning music, delicious chili, and family attractions. More than just a festival, Tunes & Spoons is a living tribute to Tito’s legacy of unity, resilience, and joy.
Music Giving Hope Foundation
At the heart of the festival is Music Giving Hope, the nonprofit co-founded by Tito Jackson with partners Terry Harvey, Rob Miller, Howard Pollack, and Brad White. The foundation is dedicated to empowering communities through the transformative power of music. Its mission is to:
  • Provide access to music education
  • Foster creativity and resilience
  • Create platforms that inspire hope and healing
  • Promote collaboration and community engagement

By combining music with community initiatives, Music Giving Hope ensures that Tito’s dream continues to inspire future generations.

Tito’s Legacy Lives On

Beyond the stage, Tito also shared his passion for vintage cars. Two vehicles from his personal collection were featured at the Route 66 Road Fest in Tulsa (June 2025) and later at the Tunes & Spoons Car Show during the festival. Tito’s time in Claremore, where he found peace in his final years, continues to inspire. His family and community partners proudly carry forward his vision: to bring people together through music, food, and togetherness.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every dollar raised goes directly toward programs that change lives and uplift communities.
